Facial Injectables & Fillers

Wrinkle Rejuvenation Treatments

Wrinkles are tell-tale marks of the aging process. They can result from sun damage, environmental factors, damaging free radicals, and gravitational force. We also see wrinkles appear from repeated muscle action on the face, which leads to wrinkle formation around the eyes, mouth, and forehead.

Our injectables are a medication that produces temporary weakening of muscles. For facial rejuvenation, we use facial relaxers to decrease the motion of the facial muscles that create wrinkles or unpleasant expressions, such as the vertical lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Our facial relaxers can stop the formation of wrinkle lines and improve the appearance of existing lines.

Injected in very small amounts, our treatments relax the muscles. Injection prevents the release of acetylcholine at the nerve muscle junction and thus prevents muscle contraction. This will lead to temporary relaxation of the muscles and results in improvement of the dynamic wrinkles of the face and neck. Muscle weakness starts from 24-48 hours after injection but the clinical improvement will be seen 7-10 days after treatment. The treatment lasts for 4-5 months and repeated treatment is necessary to maintain results.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a non-surgical form of skin resurfacing technique that helps rejuvenate skin.

The chemical agents facilitate growth of younger, fresher, and healthier skin. The peels also help to stimulate collagen and improve pigmentation and flakiness caused by sun damage and fine wrinkles.

Alpha hydroxyl acid peels, such as fruit acid peels, glycolic acid and lactic acid peels, act on the superficial layers of the skin. These peels not only exfoliate the skin, but also hydrate and smooth fine lines and improve the texture of the skin. The peels are performed at lower concentrations and can be increased gradually.

Advanced Skin Care

UK trained plastic surgeon Sherine Raveendran of Toronto Medical Aesthetics has developed a cutting edge advanced skin care line based on the genetic backgrounds of individuals. A first of its kind and unlike any other skin care line, Précieux is formulated to treat and prevent problems related to the ethnic background of an individual. These products are also formulated to target the concerns of the skin related to the specific seasons.

The structure and behavior of the skin display variations based on the genetic background of an individual. Racial characteristics explain the differing degree of the aging process and disparities in the response of the skin to the active ingredients in the skin care product. Climate and seasonal changes can also have an impact on the skin.

Collagen Induction Therapy

Skin needling, or collagen induction therapy (CIT), is an exciting new natural treatment to improve your skin texture, smooth wrinkles, fine lines and soften scars. It is suitable for all skin types and all areas of the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Skin needling is performed with a surgical grade instrument with stainless steel micro needles ranging from 0.5mm to 1.5mm in length. Scarring is treated with needles up to 2mm.

Hyaluronic acid is used during the treatment to help hydrate the skin and minimize fine lines. The treatment promotes the natural reproduction of collagen and elastin, making the skin feel smoother and tighter.
